After 20 years of shaking dancefloors and shaping the drum and bass scene in Nuremberg, it's time for a proper celebration. What started out as a small crew with a great love of music has become an integral part of Nuremberg's electronic music scene. On October 18, we're celebrating this milestone at Z-Bau Nuremberg in the only way we know how - with awesome guests, a great sound system and the community that made it all possible.
For our 20th birthday, we're giving you and ourselves two special highlights. Ed Solo, an absolute legend of the drum and bass and jungle scene, who has been shaking dancefloors around the world for decades. With countless releases on labels such as Jungle Cakes, Congo Natty or his own imprint Boomtown Recordings, he has had a decisive influence on the development of the genre. His sound combines energetic basslines, rolling breaks and the unmistakable Jungle Cakes vibe. He is joined by Anaïs, one of the most exciting talents of the new drum and bass generation from Bristol. She is an up-and-coming producer and DJ who has quickly established herself as an important figure in the scene. She has released on prestigious labels such as Hospital Records, Invicta Audio and Deep In The Jungle and is known for her blend of underground influences, powerful basslines and jungle beats.
Dive with us into a time travel of two decades of demolition with and by Monsters of Jungle. We are a collective of DJs, MCs and creative minds of all kinds - simply Monsters. The journey began in 2005 at the Kunstverein and has not come to an end for a long time, with several stops at the Z-Bau. In 20 years, we have seen people discover this music for the first time, friendships have been formed on our dancefloors and all of this has shaped our own Monsters of Jungle style. To everyone who has accompanied us on this journey - thank you for letting us have such a great time with you. Whether you've been coming to our parties for years or are just getting into drum & bass, October 18th will be one of those nights that reminds you why this music and this community are so special.
