MPC LAFOTE recently came around the corner with his album "Aquarium". The record was written by MPC LAFOTE and JENS RACHUT in winter 2022/2023 and produced by TOBIAS LEVIN and JENS RACHUT in spring 2023.

MPC LAFOTE is the name of the bird and it flies into its drawer of hard pop. Yes, it's hard pop, a long-forgotten genre of world music twists and turns, and like nettle tea, it doesn't drive you to the toilet but to dancing on all 7 continents. He himself dances live to his own rhythms and sings stories, invented or dug up encounters with an old shaman who has never slept. Sometimes with live drums, sometimes with the old MPC 1000 and once again the 3 devoted P's appear: Punk Pop Pechno. A
mixture that echoes back from outer space and outer space is infinitely large and very critical.

MPC LAFOTE - Vita
MPC LAFOTE is a post-wave act from Hamburg. Hard pop as a result is the further development
of the post-punk band LAFOTE.
When the band LAFOTE started playing their first concerts in 2013, the scene was excited and the name got around quickly. In April 2014, the LAFOTE song "Zündschnur" was released on the vinyl compilation "Keine Bewegung" by the labels Staatsakt and Euphorie. The accompanying video by artist Robin Hinsch was a scene hit at the time. LAFOTE became known to a wider audience when they went on tour with the band TRÜMMER (who had nothing to do with the booking agency) in Germany and Austria in November 2014. The demo tape produced for the tour is sold out and LAFOTE are subsequently described by Christian Ihle in the "taz" as the "next candidates for the new German indie/punk guitar wave". Various concerts in Germany followed and the band wrote songs for their debut album.
debut album. In February 2017, LAFOTE contributed a cover of "Wahr ist was wahr ist" to the DIE STERNE tribute compilation. The song attracts a lot of attention, LAFOTE play in front of an enthusiastic 800 people in Hamburg as the support act for DIE STERNE, and the one-shot video by Robin Hinsch for the song is a success. The momentum drives LAFOTE on a mini-tour, about which Kristof Schreuf writes in the Junge Welt in June 2017 that "Lafote is an encouraging band". In
LAFOTE's debut album was released in November 2018 and a split single with the Munich band FRIENDS OF GAS was released in October 2020. But then comes corona. The rock gets quieter. In the home office, punk becomes wave, the synthesizers can also be turned up loud on headphones. Then in 2022, finally concerts again. MPC LAFOTE play as support for Shatten (ex-Findus) and ALTE SAU. Despite the support slot, the room is always dancing and the reactions are overwhelming. So the fire was rekindled. On 20.10.2023 the album AQUARIUM by MPC LAFOTE will be released by Hanseplatte/Misitunes and Major Label.
