A billionaire founds a new party and nominates the influential TV star Edward Tishler as its presidential candidate. Clever use is made of the modern diversity of media channels, Tishler's poll ratings skyrocket and the party celebrates him. However, when Tishler begins to abandon his strictly prescribed role, the tide turns in favor of his political opponent. Worse still, Tishler's girlfriend Emely breaks up with him and becomes the opposing party's candidate. While Tishler begins to doubt his party's values and goals more and more, Emely, who is followed by the press at every turn, shows great potential and rises in the voters' favor. Tishler, on the other hand, turns from seducer to seduced. His situation seems increasingly hopeless, especially as he is targeted by dark forces.
