Mr. Smith’s Guitar Club Gast: Martin Lejeune

Once a month, guitarist Martin Schmidt—aka THE INCREDIBLE MR. SMITH —welcomes musical guests from the guitar scene in and around Wiesbaden to his GUITAR CLUB for a musical dialogue. Original compositions and classics from rock, blues, jazz, surf, and instrumental rock are given a stylistic twist as a duo, supported by live loops.

Before and after the concert, there’s an opportunity for a guitar talk centered on all things six-string, so that the region’s guitar community can network and get to know one another.

This event’s guest: Martin Lejeune

Martin Schmidt lives in Wiesbaden and has been a professional musician for over 30 years, working as a live musician, journalist, and guitar instructor. He is the guitarist and jack-of-all-trades for the surf-punk band THE RAZORBLADES and the jazz trio Mr. SMITH & THE JAZZ POLICE, writes for GITARRE & BASS, and teaches at his own GUITAR SCHOOL. He is also the author of the books “Surf Beat” (an encyclopedia of surf music), “Der Gitarrenheld” (a play-along book for guitar), “Der kleine Gitarrenheld” (a guitar method for children), and the SURF GUITAR BOOKS Vol. 1 + 2.
