This Sunday, December 1, is the last Museum Sunday. One last time: Sundays without admission to the museum! After 2.2 million visits on 42 Sundays in 81 museums, it is with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to Museum Sunday.

Why? The promotion and financial support of Museum Sunday by the state of Berlin for the state-funded institutions and cultural projects in Berlin, for the overarching communication and organization of the project, is no longer planned due to the cuts in the cultural budget. Further funding is also not available to the state museums. The joint pioneering project of around 80 Berlin museums for cultural participation and the lowering of entry barriers has therefore come to an end.

So come along one last time on admission-free Sunday and stay loyal to Berlin's museums beyond that!
