Water is a major theme in music, which Wolfram Goertz takes up in his new program "Nah am Wasser gebaut". The listening evenings of the music editor of the "Rheinische Post" at the festival have long been a cult event and a must for readers of the culture section. In the Neanderkirche, water can be experienced in all states of aggregation, ranging from Billy Joel to Robert Schumann, from Herbie Hancock to Frédéric Chopin. What is new is that suggestions from the audience, which were requested after the last listening evening, will be incorporated into the program. Which of the requests have made it into the program will not be revealed until the evening. Goertz's whimsical "supervised listening" guarantees great emotions, hilarity is not excluded.
