Neun Jahre Minna Thiel - das Jubiläumsfest

PICK OF THE DAY

You cannot miss this event.

In the organizer's words:

It’s been nine years since an old MAN railbus from the 1950s set out on its journey from Berlin to the heart of Maxvorstadt. Today, it’s known as Minna Thiel—our little green oasis in the Kunstareal. A place to linger, connect, marvel, and celebrate. Readings, workshops, live music, DJ sets, a ping-pong table, games and fun items to borrow, a swap corner, a nostalgic photo booth for lasting memories—and, of course, refreshing drinks, hot or ice-cold.

It’s that time again: We’re celebrating9 years of Minna Thiel—9 years of encounters, stories, music, summer nights, and heartfelt moments in the Kunstareal. And of course, we’ve put together a very special program for you this year as well!

In addition to delicious food and cold drinks, our face-painting booth will add a splash of color and glitter: Whether it’s imaginative face painting for kids or the perfect festival makeup—visitors of all ages can have a little work of art conjured up on their faces here. For the perfect refreshment, we’re also offering our Campari & Crodino Spritz Special for just €6!

Two special live acts from Munich and Augsburg will provide the musical entertainment:

Life on Wheels
This Munich-based band combines a zest for life and the sounds of the Balkans with rock-inspired, danceable grooves. Their sound can vary widely: sometimes hard rock, sometimes speed polka, sometimes reggae, and sometimes Balkan ballads guaranteed to give you goosebumps—and lots of fun! The whole thing is spiced up with thought-provoking lyrics in English and Bosnian. The five band members, some of whom have Bosnian and German roots, bring their own cultural and musical influences to the mix.

plaush.
Emotional indie-folk-pop from Augsburg: plaush. is the solo project of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jan Plausteiner, which he started at age 17 as a kind of therapy for heartbreak and melancholy. Today, more than 10 years later, he tours throughout Austria and all of Germany, captivating audiences at festivals, open-air events, and clubs with his catchy songs. Inspired by musicians like Bon Iver, Ben Howard, Mumford & Sons, and Angus & Julia Stone, he shares personal stories through his lyrics and on stage.

Come on by, party with us, dance with us—free admission, as always.
We look forward to seeing you there!
