Offenes Eisenbahndepot
In the organizer's words:
At the end of the railroad season, the Transport Museum opens the locomotive workshop of its railroad depot and displays historical rail vehicles from different eras. You have the chance to climb into the driver's cabs of various locomotives.
At the same time, the neighboring railroad museum will also be presenting its locomotives in the former Dresden-Altstadt depot (Zwickauer Straße 86).
- Opening hours: 11:00 to 16:00.
- Location: Zwickauer Straße no. 96 (opposite the Mercedes car dealership)
- Tickets: Admission to the depot of the Transport Museum and the Iron Railway Museum: 6 euros, 4 euros reduced; can only be purchased on site and in cash
- Guided tours: 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. through the depot area and into the locomotive shed.
