Olympiapark für alle – Aktion Welterbe Olympiapark am Tag des offenen Denkmals©
In the organizer's words:
This Sunday, September 13, the Olympic Park will become an open cultural space. As part of “The Olympic Park for Everyone: The Open Monument,” the World Heritage Olympic Park Initiative invites you to a free program featuring guided tours, films, music, discussions, exhibitions, and hands-on activities from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This is the perfect opportunity to rediscover one of Munich’s most famous landmarks—not just as a backdrop for sports and concerts, but as an extraordinary total work of art embodying the ideals of openness, democracy, and the future. Whether you’re an architecture fan, a city dweller, history buff, or simply looking to spend a lovely Sunday outdoors, there’s plenty to see, try, and discuss.
Highlights include guided tours focusing on architecture, biodiversity, and the Olympic Village; a film program at forum2; live music; games in the park; creative activities; and a public picnic by the lake. Free admission, and there’s no obligation to buy anything.
