open excess stands up for both: rousing jazz and the opening of jazz concert stages in Germany for more diversity and artists with disabilities. As spontaneous as jazz itself, the three musicians of open excess came together for the first time for the RoboLAB Festival 2021 in Cologne's Odonien and discovered their shared fascination for music that is created in the moment. The combo's trademark is their exuberant and witty joy of playing. They play their own compositions in the tradition of Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter and Roy Hargrove.
