In the organizer's words:

A large building, lots to discover: The Depot cordially invites you to get to know the cultural venue in the former streetcar workshop. Whether children, artists or the neighborhood - everyone is welcome. Just drop by, browse and join in!

Guided tours - meeting point Foyer Mittelhalle

15:00 & 16:00 - Off through the building: Here you can get an insight into the entire building, the resident institutions and the work of the artists on site.

16:00 & 17:00 - Into the past: We enter the otherwise inaccessible air-raid shelter and its history.

14:15 / 15:15 / 16:15 - Explore and print: What shapes and details are hidden in the house and how can they be put on paper?

Workshops, upcycling & open spaces

From 14:00 to 18:00 the motto is lots of creative togetherness. The doors are open, no previous knowledge is required and there's something for all ages!

Print workshop:

In the photo studio, the Open House is all about printing. Various printing techniques such as lino printing and risography can be tried out. Felix Peters and the Unterdruck Kollektiv will also be there. Anyone who has previously taken part in the creative tour "Explore and print" will have the opportunity to put their discoveries on paper.

Culture camp in the gallery

Hang out around the indoor campfire or make crazy creepy-crawlies and creatures from a wide variety of materials - an exuberant camp atmosphere awaits in the gallery in the depot.

Buttons & scraps:

Using old magazines, brochures, maps, stamps, sequins, glitter and lots of fun, Pia Orfanidis' studio will be snipping, collaging and, last but not least, pressing everything into the form of badges. All materials are available and you can bring your own motifs (on paper) if you wish.

Card manufacture

Bärbel Thier-Jaspert and Michael Jaspert design cards and bookmarks with visitors in their studio, which are given an individual touch with embossed prints and stamps.

Christmas crafts

With the diligent support of PIDOS Kinderclub and DEW21, Christmas angels and poinsettias are created from old book pages for festive decorations at home.

Dress up - disguises made of light and shadow

The Parzelle im Depot plays with the joy of disguise. The interactive shadow performance and exhibition "Dress Up" invites visitors to slip into different roles and design and try out outfits made of light and shadow.

Italian Christmas feeling

The Italian Association invites you to a cozy get-together and organizes a typical Italian raffle, which is similar to the game of bingo we are familiar with.

Finissage graphics from Dortmund

The exhibition "Graphics from Dortmund" with works by local artists and a colorful program awaits you in the middle hall for the finissage.

Short film program - 14:00 to 16:30

Film fans are in good hands at the open house in the sweetSixteen cinema. A colorful mix from the cinema's own treasure trove of short films will be shown.

Glass melting furnace in action - 5:15 pm

Heide Kemper gives an insight into the hot glass melting furnace in her studio and provides background knowledge about the glass melting process. Duration 15 minutes / Meeting point: studio

Hot waffles, punch, snacks and drinks - catering is provided at the Open House!
