Florian Wiegand has taken over the directorship of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra in 2025. A task of great significance for a world-class orchestra - and yet most of it happens away from the spotlight. This evening offers an exciting opportunity to get to know the new artistic director personally. Together we will take an inquisitive look at his ideas for the future of the Munich Philharmonic. What new paths does a traditional orchestra like the Munich Philharmonic want to take - what should stay, what should be changed? What programmatic accents will Wiegand, his team and the designated chief conductor Lahav Shani set? And what is planned in the area of music education? The discussion will be musically framed by members of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra Academy. The audience is cordially invited to take an active part in the discussion.
