Transhumanism is considered the philosophy of Silicon Valley. Its vision: to improve humans with the help of technology - even to make them immortal. This includes ideas such as the connection between man and machine, digital copies of our consciousness or the development of an artificial superintelligence that goes beyond what is humanly possible in terms of its capabilities.

What used to sound like science fiction is getting ever closer with the rapid advances in artificial intelligence. Tech billionaires like Elon Musk are publicly exploring such visions of the future - and exerting political influence in the process.

But what does this mean for us today? Are these ideas already having an impact on our everyday lives, our society or our self-image? And what is really behind the desire to technically "improve" people? Let's discuss these and other questions!
