Pink Palace: Santa Rosalia

In 2026, the state capital of Düsseldorf will celebrate ten years of its sister city partnership with beautiful Palermo. Following the spectacular Showcase Ball hosted by ZOE and HAUS MAWU as part of the Art:walk Festival in June 2026, the TMD will once again extend its warmest congratulations on this relationship—free of any fear of commitment—this fall. To mark the occasion, we’re combining ourPink Palace—our event series dedicated to queer pop culture—with Palermo’s patron saint, Santa Rosalia. Joining us from Palermo on the Rhine is drag queen Leila Yarn, a contestant onRuPaul’s Drag Race Italia. What else does Pink Palace have to offer? DIY activities (Let’s make Santa Rosalia a reality!) and, of course, DJ*ane (Partnerships deserve a proper celebration!).

Since Santa Rosalia is credited with healing Palermo from the plague, ourPink Palacewill be dedicated to queer healing. What do we hope to heal, and what do we wish for in return? With a small procession, we’ll collectively strengthen our individual paths to healing.
