Four poets who give words wings
It has been quiet for a long time, but now the poetry slam is finally returning to Ludwigshafen: we are opening our stage to powerful words, passionate performances and thought-provoking poetry. With us this time:
Anke Fuchs
Anke Fuchs lives in Cologne, works in Bonn and has been one of the defining voices of the North Rhine-Westphalian slam scene since the early 2000s. She has been performing poetry and prose regularly since 2003, mainly at poetry slams from 2006 onwards. She has reached the final rounds of the NRW championships several times, including a second place in 2009. She qualified for the German-language championships almost continuously between 2006 and 2012, reaching the semi-finals in 2008 and 2010. She released the CD rasendlangsam in 2011 and won the ZDF Poetry Slam in 2012.
Stefan Unser
Stefan Unser comes from Malsch near Karlsruhe and has been performing on stage as a poetry slammer since 2010. His texts combine humor, empathy and observation of everyday life. He became Baden-Württemberg state champion in 2016. With over 1,000 performances, he is one of the most active slam poets in Germany. In addition to his own art, he is heavily involved in the scene: he has organized or moderated over 350 events and has shaped Karlsruhe's slam culture for over a decade, including at KOHI Kulturraum e.V. and the reading stage "An WOrt und Stelle".
Marvin Suckut
Marvin Suckut, born in Stuttgart in 1989, won the Baden-Württemberg U20 state championships in 2009. Since then, he has performed over 1500 times and has been successfully organizing literary events from Constance since 2010. He published his first book in 2012. He has won over 500 poetry slams, was Baden-Württemberg runner-up in 2013 and 2014 and reached the final of the German-language championships in 2016. In 2025, he became Baden-Württemberg champion and also won the Swiss team championships together with Gregor Stäheli as "Team Schengen". He also gives workshops on rhetoric, slam and creative writing.
Lenny Felling
Lenny Felling, born in 1996 in NRW, began writing at an early age. While studying theater and German language and literature in Mainz, he started performing at poetry slams in 2017 and quickly became an integral part of the scene. He has made over 300 appearances, won the Rhineland-Palatinate championships in 2022 and took part in the German-language championships in Vienna. His texts are humorous, often absurd, but also thought-provoking, and deal with topics ranging from social interaction to growing up - always with an unmistakable mix of cabaret and pub humor.
