Following his acclaimed performance at the final concert of the Heidelberger Frühling , Jonas Müller, baritone and current winner of the German Business Music Prize, now presents himself in the festive setting of the Kulturkreis annual conference. Together with the renowned Kammerakademie Potsdam, the young singer will perform an exciting program that builds bridges between eras, styles and emotions.
The evening will be opened by composer Zara Ali, who has been commissioned by the Kulturkreis to develop a new work. Breakdown Resonanzraum No. 2, originally premiered by Ensemble Resonanz in the Hamburg Bunker, was adapted by her especially for this evening - for the chamber music hall of the Philharmonie and the Kammerakademie Potsdam.
This will be followed by works by George Frideric Handel, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Gustav Mahler. Arias, cantatas and romantic lieder open up a multi-layered musical resonance space - interpreted by an outstanding singer of the younger generation and an excellent ensemble.
The Kulturkreis's music department is supported by G. Henle Verlag, the Peter Klöckner Foundation and Dr. Arend Oetker.
Jonas Müller (*1999)
will make his debut in 2024 at "Winter in Schwetzingen", where he will sing the role of "Adonis" in J. S. Kusser's opera of the same name under Jörg Halubeck's direction. In 2022, he sang Count Almaviva from Mozart's "Figaro" at the Munich Chamber Opera in Munich's Cuvilliés Theater and in the same year appeared with the Munich Court Orchestra as Lubano in "Der Stein der Weisen". As an internationally sought-after concert singer, Jonas will make his debut at the Cologne Philharmonie in December 2024, where he will sing Bach's "Christmas Oratorio" with WDR. As a soloist, he has performed at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Munich Isarphilharmonie and Hong Kong City Hall, among others. Singing lieder is probably Jonas' greatest passion. This has recently taken him to the "Pierre Boulez-Saal" and the Danish festival "Hindsgavl". His love of song and chamber music inspired him to found and organize the "Ohefest" in his native Lower Bavaria.
