The Inner Grandma: Learning Serenity from the Wisest Version of Yourself 🧡 The new concept from the successful podcaster behind “Psychologie to go!”
Imagine if you could ask your 90-year-old self for advice. Someone who knows you like no one else, and who looks at your life and your daily routine with foresight and kindness. Franca Cerutti makes this wise voice accessible, calling her “the inner grandma.” As a loving complement to the inner child, she doesn’t look back—she looks forward—and from the end of life, she focuses on what truly matters today.
Psychologically grounded and therapeutically proven, this book shows how we can let go of what stresses us: feelings of guilt, perfectionism, and constant comparison. The inner grandma is a supportive part of ourselves that we create—as a warm and wise complement to the inner parts that have “happened” to us throughout our lives. The inner grandma has the big picture—and she has something important to tell you.
Franca Cerutti is a licensed psychotherapist, supervisor, and author of the bestseller *Psychologie to go!*. Her podcast of the same name, in which she provides weekly insights and education on psychological topics, is one of the most popular podcasts in Germany, with 1 million listeners.
She writes columns for various magazines and newspapers, such as Brigitte and NZZ, and is a regularly sought-after expert on TV shows. The ARD recently aired the documentary series “Familientherapie” (Family Therapy) featuring Franca Cerutti as an expert. Cerutti lives on the outskirts of the Ruhr region, so her inner grandmother is, naturally, called “Omma.”
