PROLL! & Bandstraße - This spontaneous work stoppage was not planned - two films on the subject of labor disputes in the film series "Work in Progress".

Originally conceived as a theater project, this fictional short film tells the story of a day in the life of Murat, Juri and Cornelia. They work in the low-wage sector as a parcel deliverer, a cardboard production worker and a clickworker.

They are all lone fighters and have no opportunity to show solidarity. The film was an examination of the word "proletarian", says director Figueroa.

"We were interested in why the Marxian proletarian has actually disappeared from the language - and: Who is the proletarian of today? Who is the worker of today?"

Nine years after the so-called "wildcat strike" at Ford in August 1973, this film uses historical footage and excerpts from the television coverage of the time to show the significance of the strike, the plant occupation and the dispersal after a week for the Turkish and German workers. The trigger for the factory occupation
was triggered by the dismissal of Turkish assembly line workers who had returned too late from their summer vacation. They also demanded that their hourly wages be increased and that the assembly line speed be slowed down.
