radio3 Listening Lounge with Esther Kaiser
Once a month, radio3 (rbb) invites you to come together to listen to music and discover new sounds—right in the heart of Berlin, beneath the S-Bahn arches on Friedrichstraße. Above, the trains rattle by; below, you’ll find exquisite drinks and extraordinary recordings in an intimate atmosphere with brilliant sound.
For the first radio3 Listening Lounge after the summer break, Florian Rumberger has invited jazz singer and composer Esther Kaiser to the Bredouille Bar. For more than two decades, she has been one of the most versatile voices in German vocal jazz. Esther Kaiser sees jazz as an open musical form: in her own songs, she playfully transcends genre boundaries and combines improvisation with influences from pop, chanson, and contemporary music.
