Radtour: Dachbegrünungen in Leipzig entdecken
In the organizer's words:
Green roofs make our city a better place to live and more climate-resilient. Join us on a bike ride and discover various examples of green roofs as partof Climate Adaptation Week.
Along the way, you’ll learn how green roofs improve the urban climate, promote biodiversity, and help better manage heat and heavy rainfall. We’ll also show you what’s important when it comes to planning and implementation.
A special highlight of the roughly six-kilometer-long tour is a visit to a green roof on a community housing project. There, you’ll have the opportunity to talk with those involved and learn firsthand about their experiences, challenges, and practical tips.
Please bring: A road-safe and fully functional bicycle.
The tour is open to anyone interested—whether you’d like to learn more about green roofs or are already planning to install one on a building, carport, etc.
The event is limited to 20 people and is free of charge.
Meeting point: Botanical Garden of the University of Leipzig, Johannisallee 25, 04103 Leipzig (not Linnéstraße)
