In the organizer's words:
REGGAE MUSIC FEST – ONE LOVE – THREE COUNTRIES – THREE MUSIC ACTS
Three live acts, three worlds of reggae: From Düsseldorf to the Caribbean to Brazil
September 19, 2026 | Art and Culture Beach on the Tonhallenufer
ONE LOVE ON THE RHINE!On September 19, the Art and Culture Beach on the Tonhallenufer will be all about reggae. Atthe REGGAE MUSIC FEST, three live acts will bring different facets of the genre to the open-air beach stage—from classic reggae to Caribbean-influenced tropical indie to Brazilian reggae.
André George & Band will kick things off at5 p.m. As the reggae resident at the city beach, André George has long been a fixture of the musical summer on the Rhine. Relaxed offbeats, pulsating rhythms, and life-affirming melodies create positive vibes from the very first song and kick off the festival day with an authentic reggae sound.
At7 p.m., the musical journey takes us to the Caribbean. South African-bornJonnyGuy, who now lives on St. Maarten, blurs the lines between reggae and tropical indie in his sound. Relaxed grooves, tropical influences, and songs about life’s ups and downs bring the spirit of his adopted Caribbean home right to the banks of the Rhine in Düsseldorf.
For the grand finale, the mood turns South American:Monique & Flavio Vieirawill wrap up the festival day withBrazilian reggae. Jamaican grooves meet Brazilian rhythms, South American flair, and plenty of musical zest for life—a danceable finale to a day celebrating reggae in all its international diversity.
This makes theReggae Music Festa mini musical journey:three acts, three different influences, and one common language—reggae. From laid-back grooves to rousing rhythms, the focus is always on what this music has stood for for generations: community, positive energy, and a zest for life.

7:00 p.m.: JONNY GUY (RSA) – tropical island reggae from South Africa
