Teaser E(R)DEN absolute beginnings

We dedicate these first 30 minutes to the absolute beginning of a dance piece (which of course can never be identified). The fragility of claiming and not knowing, the absence of all stage elements and colleagues' bodies become a groping moment of a fantastic promise.

E(R)DEN dedicates a piece of dance to the ambivalent image of the Garden of Eden and the soil on which we live and grow. The garden as humanly staged nature is paradise for some and an enclosure for others. And much more. What do we do with the image of paradise when God has been dead for so long? What if paradises simply remind us of abundance, of everything that does not fall victim to scarcity? Can we meet there? Everything begins with touching in abundance and we turn and the question of how to get our feet back on the ground, how to ground ourselves. E(R)DEN is aimed at blind, visually impaired and sighted audiences with integrated audio description.
The TOUCH_LABs are part of E(R)DEN. In these, we explore touch, radical empathy and transformation together with the audience during rehearsals. What touches us? What politics does touch imply? How do we remember touch? How are political power structures reflected in touch? How does touch become political action?
COMPAGNIE:
URSina Tossi is a freelance artist, choreographer, director, dancer, author and lecturer. URSina's projects combine political, queerfeminist discourses with intense physicality and aesthetics of access. URSina's working approach is transdisciplinary and collaborative and the pieces invite the audience to come closer and be touched by strong images, a very own excessive dance virtuosity, and the emotional and erotic intelligence of the group bodies. in co-production with the international production house Kampnagel Hamburg, the Tanzfaktur Köln and Stadt- u. Staatstheater, among others BARE BODIES, BLUE MOON, REVENANTS, SWAN FATE and GHOSTS were created. COSMICBODIES was nominated, HELL won the Cologne 2024 Dance Theater Prize and FUX received the Hamburg Children's Theater Prize.
