Rock im Parkhaus

"Rock im Parkhaus" is the motto of the concert on Saturday, 11.10.2024 at 19.00 (admission 18.00) in the Meiderich multi-storey parking lot at Bürgermeister-Pütz-Str. 123. The bands Shining Dark, Onyxsin, Sidewinder and Chained Life will be performing.

Shining Dark, a captivating mix of alternative rock and metal. Shining Dark combines the raw energy of alternative rock with the heaviness of metal. The band is not afraid to incorporate heavy guitar riffs and intense melodies into their compositions. Keyboards add an extra layer of depth and versatility. Their unparalleled intensity turns the stage into a battlefield of emotions during their rousing live performances. The explosive energy emanating from the stage combines with the passion of the audience to create an unforgettable concert experience. The band takes the audience on a journey through their soundscape.

Whether dark stories, socially critical messages or simply unleashed emotions, ONYXSIN tell us about it. The aggression that frontman Jakob lets out is drummed down by the drums and accompanied by hard but melodic guitars. As soon as everything has calmed down, it starts again. The band from Duisburg operates in this recurring tension and mixes genres such as melodic death metal with hard rock, metalcore and other alternative styles

Sidewinder from Bochum have been shaking the stages since 2015 - in a classic five-piece line-up, as befits true hard rock. Deeply rooted in the sound of the Ruhr region, they combine the best of hard rock, metal and a proper punk rock attitude. Their style? Raw, uncompromising and full of energy - somewhere between driving riffs, metallic heaviness and snotty punk drive. Sidewinder don't deliver smooth mass-produced goods, but honest, handmade rock with rough edges.

Chained Life, originally a punk band from Oberhausen, developed further into hardcore and metal over the years, but today they combine different musical styles while remaining true to their punk roots, which are still clearly audible in many songs. The band's lyrics mainly deal with personal and social issues such as depression, interpersonal relationships and the challenges of life. Their debut album "The War Within" was self-released in 2022 and was recorded and produced together with Timo (EOAK, We are Perspektives).
