PICK OF THE DAY

You cannot miss this event.

In the organizer's words:

SAWTUHUNNA | صوتهنّ by Cafi Chanta means “their voice,” referring specifically to women.

The project brings together women’s voices from the SWANA region and the diaspora, spanning languages, musical backgrounds, and generations. SAWTUHUNNA creates a space for diverse expressions of contemporary Arab and diasporic music, with women’s voices and presence at its core.

FELUKAH

Egyptian rapper, singer, and songwriter Felukah moves fluidly between Arabic and English, rap, R&B, poetry, and alternative sounds. Her music is both intimate and confident, shaped by questions of identity, femininity, belonging, and life across cultures. With a distinctive lyrical voice and an approach that constantly shifts between genres, she represents a new generation of artists redefining contemporary Arabic music on their own terms.

BINT ISHTAR

Bint Ishtar is a Tunisian singer-songwriter based in Berlin, born as a bridge between worlds, crafting songs that evoke deep emotions. Carried by soulful, spiritually infused R&B vocals, her music lingers in the in-between: at once tender and powerful, grounded and otherworldly. Her voice carries the textures of home, exile, and return. Languages intertwine seamlessly in her intimate soundscape, where emotion can unfold, and the search for home becomes a journey inward.

MOSAÏC BAND

At the heart of MOSAÏC BAND is Lebanese singer and performer Sara El Boustani, joined by Rafik Kamel on guitar, Peter George Saad on piano and keyboard, Aziz Ben Slimen on oud, Karim Abbes on percussion and darbuka, and Tarek El Sherif on bass.

With roots spanning Lebanon, Egypt, and Tunisia, the Munich-based ensemble blends Arabic melodies, North African folklore, and Levantine rhythms with jazz, funk, and contemporary grooves. Sara’s voice weaves through these diverse influences, providing the band with a strong vocal focal point while leaving room for the collective energy and musical backgrounds of the entire ensemble.

Through SAWTUHUNNA, MOSAÏC BAND offers a vibrant and contemporary take on Arabic musical heritage, with a female voice and performance at the heart of their sound.
