Have you heard of Schirrmann’s yet? You’ll find this extraordinary Bremen restaurant at the Bremen Youth Hostel—in a prime location on the Weser River and right in the heart of the city. This is where the world comes together! That goes for the food, too: The kitchen serves up an exciting fusion of “international” and “regional” flavors. You’ve got to try it! 
 
HandmadeOHZ

HandmadeOHZ is Martin Schröder and Andreas Bethke, two longtime friends and musicians who decided in 2024 to build a solid foundation for their musical partnership. From many jam sessions together, a duo emerged that embodies handmade music in the best sense of the word: honest, moving, and full of expression.

Handmade’s repertoire spans a stylistic spectrum from German-language singer-songwriter artistry to international singer-songwriter pop. With songs by Reinhard Mey, Hannes Wader, and Rio Reiser, the duo showcases its roots in German musical poetry, while tracks by Wolf Maahn and Versengold add rock and folk elements. At the same time, Handmade embraces international sounds: the soulful melancholy of Passenger, the laid-back ease of Jason Mraz, the soulful depth of Michael Kiwanuka, and the catchy melodies of Milow and George Ezra reflect the rich diversity of their influences.

Sometimes quiet and contemplative, sometimes driving and rousing—Handmade captivates with versatile arrangements, two-part harmonies, and a palpable passion for music that touches the heart. Whether in an intimate club setting or on the big stage, Handmade stands for authentic songs and genuine emotions.

Since 2026, we’ve been offering you a special opportunity to experience this every fourth Friday of the month (May through September) at “Schirrmann’s Weserblick & Musik.”
You can look forward not only to à la carte delicacies, our varied buffet, specialty coffees, tea, and pastries with a view of the Weser, but also live music from musicians from Bremen and the surrounding area, performing from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on the rooftop terrace! We look forward to seeing you! Free admission.
