An evil sorcerer has turned the beautiful young princess Odette into a swan when she ventured too close to the shore of his lake. Near the lake is an old castle where a beautiful princess lives with her son Siegfried. Prince Siegfried is magically attracted by the beautiful swans in the lake. He has no idea that they are actually young girls, all transformed into swans by the evil sorcerer, who always take on human form for an hour at midnight. Prince Siegfried falls in love with Princess Odette and learns from her the secret of her transformation, and that only through the love and loyalty of a man can she be released from the spell....

So begins the beautiful fairy tale of Swan Lake, the most beloved ballet classic by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Swan Lake is the most popular ballet of all. For many, it has become synonymous with ballet. Moreover, the music to Swan Lake ranks among the most beautiful ballet scores par excellence.

The Prague Festival Ballet, for years a guest on all European stages, takes us to the wonderland of the playful and romantic, fairy-tale and dreamlike, which should be part of every child's dream! The new choreography remains entirely in the traditional style of the famous first choreographer of Swan Lake, Marius Petipa, who is generally considered the father of classical ballet.
