The psychedelic rock band Seera combines traditional Arabic rhythms with modern rock arrangements, putting female-led Saudi rock on the international map. The four-piece group consisting of Nora J, Hayahuascah, Meesh and Thing is one of the first all-female rock bands in Saudi Arabia. Their debut album "Al Mo- jallad Al Awal (Volume 1)" comprises nine tracks that draw on musical influences such as System of a Down and Altın Gün, are sung in Arabic in the Saudi dialect and deal with topics such as mental health, self-empowerment and resilience. After sold-out club shows in their home country, Seera will play their first concert in Germany at Kampnagel in October.
