Shybits, LIN & TEER [LIVE] (20 Jahre Kulturhaus 73)
In the organizer's words:
Shybits (6:30–7:30 p.m.) is a Berlin-based trio consisting of Liam (UK), Piero (Italy), and Megan (South Africa). They formed in 2018, blending post-punk and ’90s alt-rock influences with a nostalgic, catchy sound. Their debut EP, “Idiot Like You,” was followed by the album “Body Lotion” in 2022. Known for their energetic performances, they have toured across Europe and opened for notable acts such as Yard Act, Art Brut, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Pabst, die Nerven, Gurr, and many others. Shybits are signed to the indie label Anomic Records, which released their second studio album, “What’s That?”, in 2025. Shybits have performed at notable shows and festivals, including WDR’s Rockpalast, NPR’s World Café, and the Reeperbahn Festival, and will be touring Europe later this year.
LIN (8–9 p.m.) is a one-man band. Guitar, drums, synthesizer, and a loop station come together here to create an impressive live show that has already captivated countless people. Whether on a festival stage or in a club, LIN has played hundreds of concerts in Germany, Austria, Italy, and France over the past few years, filling the night with genre-defying, high-energy songs. LIN’s rapidly growing audience also follows the artist for her clear political messages. In their lyrics, LIN portrays a world in which socially constructed norms are broken down and redefined. It’s not uncommon for the audience to chant slogans like “I am a feminist” in unison at shows, sending a loud and clear message in an era of increasingly powerful right-wing forces. Following the release of their debut album “Gradient” in 2023, LIN released a new album, “Focus On The In_Between,” on November 14, 2025.
Between the distorted frequencies of digital post-punk and the unbridled tempo of nu-techno, a sound emerges that cries out for change. TEER (10:00–11:00 p.m.) break boundaries and forge connections. Their hard, techno-inspired beats collide with rumbling drums, driving synthesizers, and atmospheric distortions. The vocals emerge from the darkness as whispered fragments or distorted screams—sometimes piercing, sometimes like a distant, barely tangible echo. Together, they form a soundscape that is both oppressive and captivating. TEER gaze into the abysses of our time. Their songs speak of the apocalypse and world-weariness, of the burden of being human, and of the fragility of the Earth we inhabit. Consumption and power, addiction and intoxication—here they dance on a fine line between longing and destruction. Lurking in the shadows of their lyrics are repressed wishes and forbidden desires that burst forth and smolder like embers beneath the surface.
The concert is part of “Hausparty – 20 Years of Haus 73.”
