Singing Circle – Free Vocal Improvisation & Experiencing Resonance

Make music together, clear your mind, and connect through sound: Inspired by Bobby McFerrin’s Circle Singing, we gather for free vocal improvisation. Without sheet music or prior experience, we weave melodies, rhythms, and sounds layer by layer into a vibrant tapestry of sound.

Our guiding principle: Out of the head—into the body. This isn’t about perfection, but about the joy of making music, inclusion, and silencing the inner critic.

You’ve come to the right place if you:

• think you can’t sing or make music at all.

• are interested in spontaneous vocal experiments and authentic experiences of resonance.

• want to recharge with inner strength and lightness through making sound together.

Schedule:

• Warm-up for voice and body

• Guided vocal improvisations in a circle

• Meditative closing

Organizational Information

• Participation: Open group; no prior experience required.

• Fee: By donation (on-site to cover space and organizational costs).

• Arrival: Please arrive 10–15 minutes before the start so we can begin together on time.

• Cancellation: If you are unable to attend at the last minute, please cancel your registration and send a brief email to kontakt@sandrabrauer.de.

About the host, Sandra Brauer, she combines her musical experience (choir, vocal ensembles such as Vielklang, and advanced training in music-based Gestalt therapy) with her work as a systemic counselor. Through projects like Resonanzraum Hamburg, she creates safe spaces for connection, creativity, and mental health.
