You don't really like sleepless nights. But being sleepless on New Year's Eve at the Palais is something of a cherished habit. Once again, a full 18 hours of upbeat sound await you at the start of 2025 - from 2 a.m. to 8 p.m. on New Year's Day! The music maestros for three hours each are, in this order: Poenitsch, DJ Linus, Timo Liederer, George Bleicher, David Phillips and Sandra Gold.

All familiar faces! The programme is once again deliberately geared towards our homies, who have completely internalized the universally acclaimed Palais signature sound. Only David Phillips from Ulm is something of a special guest, although he has often blown out the audiogate, i.e. the ear canals, at our WE-PLaY parties. However, Jens Poenitsch, who shot to fame in 2024 with his book "Munich sounds better with you", which was highly acclaimed in scene circles, will kick things off. Who knows, maybe he'll include a few typical examples of the "Munich sound" of days long gone in his set? DJ Linus also quotes from earlier decades when DJing, as he has a record collection that now covers many decades. The Sujet Musique label owner will once again fire off a few groove grenades on New Year's Eve, to which the crowd will glide animatedly across the floor. Perhaps his remix of this year's disco classic "On the radio" will be included?

At 8 o'clock in the morning, we switch to another "station" and Timo Liederer takes over the controls. The turbo team player shifts up a gear again and will welcome in the New Year with a nice beat broadside. The show then continues with George Bleicher and his welcome set in the latest version 2.025. The WE-PLaY host is always busy collecting new sounds and adding them to his mixes so that they always sound fresh and up-to-date. The surging crowd adheres to George's maxim "Follow the sign" and enthusiastically signals "Keep it up"!

The following afternoon session is a thing for David Phillips, founder of the Global Ritmico label, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2024. Many people also know the Ulm native as the head of the Audiogate Festival. He has been standing at the turntables for a good 30 years and knows exactly which screws to turn for which audience reaction. Sandra Gold is in no way inferior to him in this discipline. The electronics expert from Wolfratshausen launched a new project called Filter Fighters in 2024 together with her colleagues Chew Solo and Robert Mirza-Zadeh. Apart from that, she has also received a lot of positive feedback for her Discotribe and NOW events. So 2025 can come with a clear conscience. Happy new year!
