SommerTagTraum im Dortmunder Rombergpark: Musik, Tanz, Schauspiel - umsonst und draußen

In the organizer's words:

The first edition last year attracted over 7,000 visitors - on June 22, 2025 there will be a new "SommerTagTraum" in the Rombergpark botanical garden in Dortmund. Between 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., a colorful program awaits at nine venues distributed throughout the park.

The musical repertoire ranges from classical music, jazz and big band sounds to world music, singer/songwriters, pop and rock. Dance and theater round off the program, as the Schauspiel and the Kinder- und Jugendtheater Dortmund are also involved. There is also variety in the cast. Sometimes soloists, duos or small groups can be seen and heard, sometimes big bands or larger choirs perform.

The performers are a reflection of the regional scene: in addition to Theater Dortmund, the Orchesterzentrum|NRW, the Chorakademie, the Akademie für Gesang, several ensembles from TU Dortmund, the Duo Amaryllis, Do-Ton, Hans Blücher and Boris Gott, Andreas Heuser, the Duo Subi2Cello, Dance In - Dance Out, the Peter Köcke Trio, schwarz/rot Atemgold 09 and the Glen Buschmann Jazzakademie.

The SommerTagTraum ends with a finale featuring the salsa band Sonando and DJ Fabulous Flo. The festival was created by the Theater- und Konzertfreunde Dortmund, who organize the day together with the host Rombergpark and the Orchesterzentrum|NRW. The Dortmund Cultural Foundation and many other sponsors support the event.
