Songs of Sun and Starlight

Following an intensive period of collaborative work, the young chamber choirKreuzberg Vokalcordially invites you to its final concert atSt. Thomas Church in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

The singers, aged 18 to 30, have come together from all over Germany to work together for a few days and prepare a challenging concert program. The project culminates in a concert featuring Romantic and Impressionist choral music byJohannes Brahms,Lili Boulanger, andFelix Mendelssohn Bartholdy.

The program features works brimming with images of nature, light, summery atmosphere, and sonic diversity—from the radiant power of Boulanger’s*Hymne au soleil*to Mendelssohn’s poetic choral songs and Brahms’s heartfelt and colorful compositions.

Come experience a young choir presenting the results of its project work with great musical passion and fresh interpretations. We look forward to sharing this special concert evening with you.
