Soundscapes Concerts: Duo Musayyebi & Heuser, Rezvan & Band

The new edition of the Soundscapes concert series will take place on October 17. Organized by the association Dings e.V. and the collective Ceviz Collective from Dortmund, the event will start at 18:00.

Rezvan & Band will perform from 19:00-19:30:
Rezvan is a singer from Iran who will enchant you with Iranian classics together with Alef on piano and Sarg Usuk on string instruments.

The duo Musayyebi & Heuser will play from 20:30-22:00:

Kioomars Musayyebi and Andreas Heuser - both members of the Ruhr area world music big band Transorient Orchestra - meet musically halfway between Orient and Occident, with their instruments entering into diverse dialogs with each other.

They play oriental traditionals in new arrangements and original compositions that combine musical influences from East and West.

Both have a profound musical education and many years of experience in a wide variety of musical constellations, are virtuoso instrumentalists and individual composers.

They make imaginative use of the numerous tonal and rhythmic possibilities of their instruments and blend the sounds of the 72-string Persian santoor, various guitars and the violin to create diverse soundscapes: rhythmic, dynamic, lyrical, meditative.

Andreas Heuser studied classical guitar, jazz guitar and violin at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Detmold, Dortmund Institute.
