The Feldherrnhalle on Munich's Odeonsplatz - built in the 19th century as a monument to military glory - was later the scene of the Hitler Putsch, which ended with the defeat of the National Socialists. After the seizure of power, the building became an official Nazi memorial to this event. For the artists Caroline Anne Kapp, Katarína Marková and Carla Lou Schäfer, it becomes the starting point for their intermedia performance: as a "tactical body", they investigate connections between art and militarism. They meet institutions, infrastructures, travel to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Ukraine. In doing so, they get to know the structures and mechanisms that have historically (and again today) shaped Europe's identity from the westernmost West to the Far East. At a time when Europe is massively rearming and Germany is discussing the reintroduction of compulsory military service, the Feldherrnhalle will be the setting for the first performance of the "tactical body", in which video, audio and live action from the artistic research will be shown.
