SPOTLIGHT: Rafael Köhne, Ric Sattler, and Caputto

The Mixed Show Featuring Up-and-Coming Talents

Up-and-coming talents from the region will showcase a selection of their musical skills, with some gaining their first live performance experience, and bring this event series to life:

Rafael Köhne – The 24-year-old singer-songwriter has been composing and writing his own songs since 2020—initially in English, but now primarily in German. He plays several instruments, including guitar, piano, and percussion, and combines them to create melancholic, honest, and profound tracks. In early 2024, he released his second album, “So schön kaputt.” In his music, he openly addresses personal themes and uses his songs as an outlet. Most recently, he impressed the judges at the “Talentschmiede” competition at Fabrik K14 in Oberhausen, where he took first place. Ric Sattler – With a raw resonator sound, German-language stories, and an atmosphere blending blues, folk, and Americana, Ric Sattler brings the spirit of the Westerwald to Düsseldorf. Together with Lukas Czajkowski on rhythm guitar, they create songs full of imagery.

His current project, “Westerwald Blues,” tells of landscapes, train rides, old legends, hard work, and people caught between a sense of new beginnings and a longing for home.

Caputto, from Düsseldorf, have been synonymous with German-language alternative rock with emotional depth since 2017. In their current lineup—featuring a second guitar and drums—the band has been playing together since 2023. The songs explore transience, longing, new beginnings, and inner conflicts—in a direct, honest, and relatable way. Amid atmospheric guitar textures, minimalist moments, and driving passages, the band creates songs that are both touching and moving. All songs are original compositions that combine personal lyrics with catchy hooks and emotional directness. Live, CAPUTTO delivers an intense and captivating performance, yet remains approachable and atmospheric—with a keen sense of dynamics, space, and the audience.Instagram: @caputto_music/
