Stand Up Workshop für FLINTA*
In the organizer's words:
🎤 STAND-UP WORKSHOP ON ANTI-DISCRIMINATION for women, lesbians, inter, non-binary, and agender people on October 1 and November 5 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Studieninstitut Duisburg:
Together with Jana Goller, host of the queer-feminist stand-up show SMASH COMEDY, we invite you to freely unleash your comedic potential—without mansplaining, without the male gaze, and whether you’ve never done stand-up comedy before or have been doing it for a while.
We’ll not only explore the hallmarks of discriminatory jokes and examine how comedy can be safe—free of racist stereotypes, ableism, classism, sexism, and so on—but we’ll also turn our own experiences with these “-isms” into funny bits as an act of self-empowerment. Because humor has power, and laughter sets us free. And brings us together.
Anyone who wants to can perform their newly written stand-up material that very same evening at the Smash Comedy Show at Stapeltor Duisburg. Or you can just enjoy the show! At 8 p.m. at Stapeltor Duisburg. Tickets available at rausgegangen.de
