Stina Holmquist

In the organizer's words:

Stina Holmquist has developed her own distinctive indie and art-pop style, in which
atmospheric and expansive indie sounds are repeatedly and unexpectedly punctuated by
moments bursting with energy. Together with her band, she creates hypnotic,
almost breathless song structures combined with vocally impressive
vocal flourishes. In her songs, Stina tells stories that are deeply rooted in pop music
—and yet are rarely presented today with such depth and poetry.
Yet Stina (Holmquist is her Swedish grandfather’s name) can already look back on impressive milestones in her short,
yet intense musical journey: 150
live concerts over three years on stage throughout Germany and in neighboring countries (Warsaw,
Zurich, Vienna)—including as a support act for German indie giants Giant Rooks
and Leoniden; renowned festival appearances ranging from the Reeperbahn to the Orange Blossom,
Traumzeit, and Juicy Beats festivals, and most recently at WDR Rockpalast. She is the winner
the Lalla:Labor Promotion Prize, participated in the federal support program “Pop Camp,” and was
nominated for “Best Newcomer” at the PopNRW Awards.
In November 2025, Stina Holmquist’s second EP, “If All My Hopes Find Answers,” was released—
produced by Alex Sprave (Fil Bo Riva) and Jochen Naaf (Giant Rooks). The EP will be presented on a
subsequent tour in April/May 2026.
“She’s so approachable, so genuine—she could probably sing whatever she wants. Anyone
listens to Stina feels it too.” (Strobo)
“You get the feeling that this was just the beginning of something big.” (Westzeit)
“With this performance at Rockpalast, Stina Holmquist proved once again that we can
—both as an enigmatic live performer and as an
ambitious songwriter.” (Gästeliste.de)
