At Günthersburgpark: "The Cure" Tribute Band

The Cure—it’s not just music, but a lifestyle. The British band led by charismatic frontman and songwriter Robert Smith is best known for hits from the 1980s and ’90s, such as “Boys Don’t Cry,” “Just Like Heaven,” “Lullaby,” and “Friday I’m in Love.”
All the band members of piCtUREs of you share two fundamental things in common: a love of making music and a passion for The Cure’s songs. They don’t want to compose; they want to play—specifically, the music they themselves love to hear most—and in doing so, bring to life the spirit of an entire generation.
And they’ve been doing just that for nearly ten years, tinkering with the sounds in the rehearsal room, comparing the countless live recordings and bootlegs of the original band, and crafting their own favorite versions from them, which they then present live to an enthusiastic audience. The Offenbach- and Frankfurt-based band piCtUREs of you thus not only play the songs LIVE that everyone knows, but also introduce audiences to the lesser-known side of The Cure.
For just as every member of piCtUREs of you associates their own unique memories and life stages with individual Cure songs, they ultimately awaken in listeners nearly forgotten memories of a time when one was so wonderfully melancholic and profound, and could instantly spot like-minded people by their teased hair and kohl-lined eyes.
The motto is: Close your eyes and discover just how much goth and dark wave is inside you!
