Streit & Zuversicht: Zeitenwende für Kunst & Co.: Können wir uns Kultur noch leisten?

Wars, economic decline, social tensions - political crises dominate public debate. Cultural funding is also coming under pressure in the face of tight budgets: can a society still invest in art and culture in uncertain times? Yes, especially now, say advocates - because democracy needs free spaces for experimentation, criticism and social debate, such as those found in art and culture. Others argue that state funds should first and foremost secure security, the economy and social stability - culture is important, but in an emergency it is dispensable. At Kampnagel we discuss: How much cultural funding can and should our society still afford after the turnaround?
