Hiraeth

Based in Wuppertal, Hiraeth’s music is a creaking and croaking limbo—a fruiting body thrown into a swamp, in which somehow the state of decay itself is preserved by the muck for eternity. Tapes released by Silken Heart, Himukalt, Venalism.

Sarg Usuk

Behind the pseudonym SARG USUK lies an experimental guitarist and sound tinkerer. He learned classical guitar as a child; later, the Dortmund native drew inspiration from a wide variety of musicians and styles from around the world.

As a solo artist, SARG USUK combines classical, Eastern, and electronic elements to create his very own sound.

Dennis Aycicek

In live settings, Dennis Aycicek explores noise, non-music, and post-industrial soundscapes. His work is characterized by dense sound textures, emptiness, and the remnants of function, and draws inspiration from his life in the Ruhr region, which is undergoing structural change.

In his compositions and live sets, the musician and sound artist combines textures, audio fragments, and biographical remnants with principles of cyclical structures and chaotic processes. Together with his group Soft Rotation, he regularly organizes events for experimental music in Cologne, his new home, and is part of the INDUSTRIAL NRW collective.

Aycicek’s works have been presented at festivals and institutions in Hamburg, Berlin, Barcelona, and Ahmedabad, including the Blurred Edges Festival, Stromspiesser, reiheM, CCCB, the Moers Festival, and Anant National University.
