Tango Salon Europe ̶ between chanson and Eastern European melodies
An evening with Helena Goldt (vocals) and Michael Kornas (piano)
In her new program, the Berlin singer with Kazakh-German roots, Helena Goldt, has set out in search of the European tango and its cultural shades, moods and styles. In two-four time, she takes her audience on a musical journey on which she crosses various borders and shows how differently it presents itself from country to country. She makes stops in France and Germany as well as in Hungary and Finland. In several languages, she performs songs full of love, suffering and lust for life in an expressive voice, sometimes soft and quiet, sometimes powerful and loud. In addition to pieces by Kurt Weill, Édith Piaf and Toivo Kärki, she will be performing her own compositions. Her accompanist on the piano, Michael Kornas, provides virtuoso support for her journey with a jazzy sound. A sensual musical evening about a Europe of diversity, performed with a large portion of charm, glamor and, above all, heart.
