tellKujira was founded in fall 2020 as a "non-perfect" chamber quartet with two electric guitars instead of violins. Its versatile sound, resulting from long improvisation sessions, opens up great freedom within certain compositional boundaries: the result is a flowing musical performance that is open to abstract, neoclassical and elegantly romantic soundscapes, but can also be post-rock, noisy and shrill and adorned with ambient electronic elements.
In these ever-evolving musical journeys of live performances, tellKujira collects fragments that are rearranged and reassembled to create an unlimited palette of musical possibilities.
In 2022 and 2023, the group performed at numerous festivals across Europe and also released the two albums "Piece Sombre" and "tellKujira" in 2023.
The quartet tellKujira consists of: Francesco Diodati (G), Stefano Calderano (G), Ambra Chiara Michelangeli (viola), Francesco Guerri (cello).
