In the wild steppes of southern Ukraine, young naturalist Yura is searching for an endangered species of marmot, but witnesses a crime. In his eagerness to uncover the truth, Yura takes his photo of the evidence to the editorial office of the local newspaper. However, he soon realizes that no one there cares about justice. As a major war looms on the horizon, Yura's naive world view is shaken by a storm of fake news, rigged political elections and mysterious cult rituals. On his quest, the hero will find out who he really is - an endangered species of good person or just a loser?
