Grasping Straws' grungy, jazz-infused abstractions come together with a scream and a whisper in angry, angsty softness that's raw, controlled and ever surprising. The project was formed in 2012 by Mallory Feuer who, inspired by antifolk and the music emanating from New York's basements, started performing, developing, screaming, sleeping on floors, and meeting soulmates.

Their upcoming album, "Shapes" celebrates nature, oneness, and wildlife preservation, against a backdrop of technologically-driven consumerism. When we abstract away our arbitrarily assigned meanings, we can connect as pure lines, forms, colors, sounds, and overlapping shapes.

Fake Plastic stand for alternative and experimental rock music as it should be - passionate, mysterious and poetic. With rage in their belly and yet acting with a sovereign-elegant ease, Fake Plastic deliver a rousing live set in a classic three-piece line-up (vocals/guitar, bass, drums). Every gig is different and special. They always follow the principle "all killers - no fillers".
