After announcing a Berlin date at the end of last year, the British-American indie rock duo have now announced further tour dates for Hamburg and Cologne. On the 12 tracks of "God Games", Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince venture into new sonic territories without losing the band's typical bravura. Following last month's double single "New York/LA Hex", the album announcement is accompanied by the single "103". While "LA Hex" focused its gaze on the emotional and interpersonal realities of modern life in Los Angeles, "103" (Fahrenheit) illuminates the brutal reality of the city's frightening unlivability through the lens of a dark, twisted love song - Mosshart sings cutting lyrics like "stick with me under the last palm tree / and sip a little water from the dirty fountain meant to be / the sum of it all."

"God Games" focuses on the original call-and-response between Mosshart's full-body vocal catharsis and Hince's swaggering, guillotine-smooth guitar playing. They've expanded on the pair's signature sound, choosing to write from new perspectives. For the first time, the duo wrote primarily on piano and incorporated innovative electronic and horn textures, crystal-clear production and deeply human lyrics, as well as a collaboration with the Compton Kidz Club Choir on "LA Hex" and "My Girls My Girls." Work on the album began in 2019 and the duo moved into an old church to record the album with Academy® and GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Paul Epworth [Adele, Paul McCartney], who was their very first soundman in 2002.
