In the 1970s, a man returns to Brazil during the military dictatorship, having gone into hiding for unknown reasons and now hoping to be reunited with his son. In beguiling imagery and rich colors, a genre film unfolds that was showered with awards in Cannes. And as in Filho's earlier BACURAU, Udo Kier makes a remarkable appearance here too!
