THE STIFF play THE SPLIFF RADIO SHOW

In the organizer's words:

The SPLIFF RADIO SHOW was one of THE rock music events of the early 1980s in Germany. Just in time for the 45th anniversary of this masterpiece, the band STIFF is bringing the Spliff Radio Show back to the clubs!

SPLIFF, which emerged from the legendary Nina Hagen Band, channeled their experiences with the major music industry into this concept album and showcased the full range of their immense musical talent on this timeless record. The Berlin-based band, which had already made German rock history with the “Nina Hagen Band’s” debut album and later celebrated chart successes with hits like “Carbonara” and “Deja Vu,” delivered a concept album with *RADIO SHOW* that music fans still consider one of the best German rock albums of all time.

THE STIFF have therefore set themselves the goal of bringing this masterpiece back to the stage.

STIFF are no strangers to the scene either. With Michael “Hoppla Benito” Kernbach and Wolfgang “Torbjörn Beatoff” Zähringer, the lineup features two musicians from the success story “Guildo Horn und die orthopädischen Strümpfe,” which was honored at the time with, among other awards, the VIVA Comet for Best German Live Band. Singer Anke Beuth is one of the most distinctive voices in the German rock and pop scene of the past 25 years. With Uwe Reinhard, aka Jimi Berlin, a top frontman from the local indie scene takes on the role of Rocko J. Fonzo. Rounded out by keyboardist Thomas Jung (Frank Out!) and guitarist and musical director Christoph “Junior” Haupers, STIFF brings the entire album, as well as a “Best Of” compilation of Nina Hagen’s songs and German-language Spliff tracks, to the stage.

ROCK IS A DRUG!

After 45 years, SPLIFF’s masterpiece is being performed once again.

…plus more from SPLIFF and the best of the NINA HAGEN BAND.
