In the organizer's words:
We’re kicking off the new season with a celebration! On September 12, starting at 12 p.m., a colorful program for the whole family awaits you. Accompanied by courtyard music beneath the ruins, coffee, cake, and cocktails, you can spend the whole day getting to know Theater Münster in all its facets. And above all: there will be plenty of music! From the orchestra and choir to live music and little musical surprises, music will accompany you throughout the day.
The numerousguided tourswill open doors that are otherwise hidden from the public. Discover the theater’s architecture, take a peek into the workshops, and learn fascinating stories about the stage, costumes, and the people who make theater possible.
A special highlight is theSchauspielsoirée: With scenes and songs from their repertoire and upcoming premieres, the acting ensemble will provide a colorful program!
At“Fundusfieber,” the motto is: Browse, discover, and take your favorite pieces home! Selected costumes, props, and items from the theater’s collection are waiting for new owners.
And for those who want to do more than just watch—who want to get creative themselves—there are plenty of opportunities: Inworkshops, youcanimprovise, act, dance, and playfully discover new sides of yourself. Whether it’s improvisation training, theater dance training, or other hands-on activities—here, you’re encouraged to try things out and join in!
And as a special finale to the festival, there’s a reunion with*THE SWANS*! Lillian Stillwell’s acclaimed production set to the music of Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky returns to the stage of the Großes Haus. Stillwell’s reinterpretation combines the 1877 libretto with Bachmann’s *Undine* and portrays Odette as an autonomous woman in search of freedom.
