Together with the Zeitzentrum Zivilcourage learning center, we invite you to our "Tischlein Denk Dich" format. We combine a cozy dinner at a large table with discussions on current topics and carefully considered rules of the game. The evening starts at a large table with 20 people with a moderated discussion round. We ensure a good flow of conversation and a respectful exchange. Then it's time to eat: a delicious dinner where we explore the topics in more depth. This time it's about the question "National Socialism - what does it have to do with me?"

About the format

One of our tasks as a playing field is to promote and practise a culture of discussion. To bring people together who otherwise have little contact with each other and to strengthen social cohesion. But how does that work? In our view, Tischlein Denk Dich is one of many steps in precisely this direction.

It is important to us that political education can also be fun and energizing. Our aim is for you to go home motivated and with new ideas after an enjoyable evening. Are you still unsure? At Tischlein Denk Dich, we focus on topics that everyone can say something about. So you don't have to be an expert, you just need to bring curiosity and interest - we'll take care of everything else.

ZeitZentrum Zivilcourage

The ZeitZentrum Zivilcourage is an interactive place of learning about Hanover's urban society under National Socialism and an open discussion space for civil courage. The team conveys the history of Hanover's urban society under National Socialism; the themes are persecution, but also resistance, bystanders and perpetrators. Under the guiding questions "Participate or resist" and "Stay or go?", they encourage visitors to critically examine people's options for action and decision-making in the past and to reflect on democratic coexistence in the present and future.
