Triff Robin Hood! (ab 5 Jahre)

In the organizer's words:

On the trail of injustice

The gap between rich and poor is widening. We have created a play for children on this topic. Who, if not Robin Hood, is better suited to play the leading role in a play about injustice? Everyone knows Robin Hood, the guy with the green tights and bow and arrow. He takes from the rich and gives to the poor. As a legendary figure, he has been haunting ballads and stories in England since the 15th century and films and comics, musicals and popular theater around the world since the 20th century, and now also on our children's theater stage. With wit, cunning and cleverness, he stands up for the hungry, exploited and disenfranchised and helps them in times of despair.

Two players become two Robin Hoods, the Sheriff of Nottingham and other characters from the stories. In scenes and songs, they portray how the poor were and are at the mercy of the screaming injustices of the rich. And how Robin Hood confronts these injustices and offers an alternative to those in need. The audience does not fail to notice that the Middle Ages are sometimes hardly any different from the present day. At the end of the play, when the sheriff has been put to flight, the question arises as to what can be learned from Robin Hood. And the answer is: sharing and giving. With this production, we want to encourage children to think about poverty and wealth, to recognize injustice even on a small scale and, where they can, to act in the spirit of Robin Hood.
